STORY


Brand strategists can look at the same information as everyone else and see something different. Some acquire that ability by wearing other hats first. I’ve tried on eclectic ones. Starting with a bullet proof vest as a federal investigator, I changed into a suit as an attorney, and then landed on denim as a strategist. These “hats” provided a wealth of experience and a unique perspective.

Ran a solo law practice concentrating on business law, real estate, and civil litigation. Serviced clients for my firm and for another boutique counsel that specialized in startups including Karmaloop, an online streetwear retailer. Also managed Cate Kanell, an independent singer/songwriter, including negotiating a contract with MTV.
